Entropylord, the issue is not that the SPP closed early, it's that the executives let the banks have the lion's share of new stock when they knew there would be unsated demand from shareholders. It doesn't matter how 'on the ball' shareholders were, if they were only only accepting 5m or modestly more, then even if everyone applied on day 1 it would have been limited somehow and people would have missed out. If the company only needed 5m then fair enough, but to only allot such a small amount and let shareholders compete with one another for it is an insult.
