I can't agree with the sentiment being expressed by those wanting the company to accept all applications for SPP shares. I think it would offer much better value to long term and larger holders for the offer to be scaled back in accordance with these parameters. I for one would prefer not to suffer the extra dilution brought about by any applicant however small and however newly arrive (and more likely to be after a quick profit) being given the maximum possible shares as per the offer.
It's certainly not the impression Gus gave in the Shareholder information sessons.
