The LNP tried to deregister them by changing the minimum member level law to a higher value, but they quickly put the call out and got more members, so that was an LNP own goal. I did laugh.
THEN, they tried to stop them using the "liberal" part, but they couldn't, however The New Liberals must now use TNL on any ballets to "avoid confusion". I would say that The Liberal Party are the ones that are confusing, since they are all very conservative, and not "liberal" at all in its actual sense of the political use of the word as it is used around the rest of the world.
