If this SPP is like others I have seen recently, institutional and "sophisticated" investors get first bite at the cherry. Retail investors tend to have very little shares left to purchase. In the recent NAB SPP, I tried for $30k shares and ended up with $2.5K from memory. I see no reason to assume any different with this one. I took "advice" to sell down my NAB shares and buy back in the SPP. Ended up with less shares after all said and done.
Will be interesting to see what happens here but do not assume you will get all the shares you ask for. Share price will most likely head north shortly after the new shares begin trading. DYOR.
