i emailed them and they said the april 8 announcement 'letter to shareholders' was their attempt to push up the price to try and get people to take up the SPP.
they've extended the closing date because nobody in their right mind would take up the offer.
maybe they should extend the closing date to some time in 2012. they'd have a better chance of people taking it up.
