I was expecting a refund to the same account I made the bpay transfer from - but after logging into MUFG with the details from WA8's email I can see they have mailed a cheque (like it's 1950) on the 24th.
Annoying process but it might be quicker to just wait and cash it rather than messing around with call centres, etc.
