Thanks for the explanation Finesse. It seems a fairly convoluted way to make a buck with some inherent risks as you have described. I adopt a more simplistic approach to investing and generally invest for the long term without getting in and out of stocks on a multiple of occasions. It also introduces the added complication of needing to calculate that these transactions are financially prudent after factoring in additional costs such as CGT payable on transactions.
