The directors' allocations have already been voted on. There were no questions from the floor during the meeting. If there's any questions at the next AGM, they won't be 'difficult' for whoever chooses to answer.
The SPP, in this case, can be viewed as a bonus to retail shareholders. The company didn't need to offer a SPP, they could have funded it entirely from the capital raising. If we all get our full allocations it will be wonderful and I hope we do. I'm sure the board is doing its best to make it so. But if it's not prudent to do it, they don't have any obligation to us on this matter. Moral or otherwise.
