I participated. I believe in the company on a few levels. Growing up near Morwell I've seen them grow from humble roots, and all throughout the years the great societal good they've done for the local economy and other regional communities, providing skilled tech employment where there'd otherwise be very little. Aussie Broadband remains one of the big employers in the region as the Latrobe Valley coal-fired power complex slowly winds down. I think that deserves all the support I can give it.

This is a long term hold for me. I believe the company has a clear path to growth in a market niche that's hard to cannibalise at scale. It's clear that there's consumer frustration in the telco industry, not only Optus but also with TPG, treatment and respect of their customers just rock-bottom. I think there's some short-term risk from cost-of-living pressures, Aussie's service isn't exactly the cheapest, but will be temporary and I dare say they've probably got some customer retention plans in place.
