I think the SPP is underwritten (sorry, have not checked) and so the underwriter will be endeavouring to increase participation in the issue.

I got the call the day before yesterday too. I had a buy order at 8c in the market but haven't made it yet. If I can't make it by Dec, I will just participate in the SPP.
