I was also told the same thing when I spoke to the crew at Computershare so I took it up with ALC directly.
I found they were very good to deal with and we ever up with the desired result so they must have had some pull along the way somewhere.
Because of this issue you could only assume that any preference given to those who purchased closer to the “Opening date” of the SPP is not an issue.
