I've also put my order in. Whether I can buy cheaper on market or not is close to irrelevant to me; the bigger concern is the possibility that I'll miss out on an allotment, and hence have my cash tied up for a month or more when I could have bought on market instead.

I'm tipping that, because of the "first in best dressed" approach, they'll fill their fund requirements in very short order, and be refunding the money to those that missed out sooner than the timetable would suggest. If I miss out, I'll just push the money over to my broker and buy on market instead. Too much upside, not enough downside, to do otherwise, IMO, and a few percent doesn't alter the potential here. But that's my circumstances speaking as well; your mileage may vary, and you definitely shouldn't be jumping in just because some randoms on the Internet are claiming to be.
