249d's have a very poor track record of succeeding in Australia. Despite that I do encourage shareholder activism from retail holders as a legitimate means to send a message to companies who have gone off the reservation.
What we need is a top-quality NED such as Justin Tremain, or someone of his ilk. Hard to see us attracting any major talent now sadly considering the basket case we've become.
