    It is fascinating that someone can invest in shares and not understand these fundamentals.

    I don't think I can explain it any more clearly. But try this:

    If, all other things being equal, the value of a company increases by 10% the value of each share will also increase by 10%. Regardless of whether there are 10 million shares at $1 on issue or 100 million shares at $0.10. The value of the company will increase from $10million to $11 million. The $1 share will be worth $1.10 and the $0.10 share $0.11. If you sell your shares you will have made a 10% profit. Does that make sense?
