I did question the sample size of the initial trail , eleven people , so 3 out off 11 represents your 27% showing 50% reduction in proteinuria . Katheryn said despite the small sample size it was a very encouraging result . Re the phase 2a results which I believe is based on a sample pool of 27 people ( someone correct me if I am wrong) - Ahmed is on the money . Katheryn explained it was hard to give a precise percentage to what would be "clinically relevant" but did mention a figure of 40% reduction in proteinuria as probably representing a more realistic bar with the larger sample size . This should not disappoint anyone - as Ahmed said , if they achieve a result of this nature it is a huge reduction in proteinuria and extremely clinically relevant given current therapies available .

The other thing we need to be patient with , is Dimerix finding the right dosage balance . Kathryn mentioned it is a U curve response - i.e. you move through a point where increasing the dose results in no further improvement in therapeutic effect , so finding the optimal dosage of irbesartan/propagermanium is still a consideration . I think she mentioned some patients were only on certain doses for 4 weeks as they moved through dose escalation . Having said that , I get the feeling they are encouraged by the phase 2a results thus far . Hope this helps .
