Mmmmm.
I'm feeling a bit schizophrenic about this one.
It's the biggest acquisition in the company's history.
Part of me says its establishing a beachhead into a very large and affluent market with strong consumer and industry economics.
Another part of me says its case of one fully valued company buying into another fully valued company and asking me to help finance the deal. (And not just me, but the banks too, with the result that my company will be dialing the financial leverage up a few notches.)
I need to sleep on it a bit more.
(I am pleased that I have the option to sleep on it and if I decline to participate, I can sell my rights to avoid being diluted. Kudos to the board for the structuring the equity raising with full renounce-ablility. )
