Lactoferrin is a key ingredient in baby formula and China has just approved the use of it in theirs....which means that China will be chasing Lactoferrin big time in the coming years. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but the timing with the Chinese agitation looks opportunistic to me. They see the ship turning and want a big piece of it....do research on it, the market is massive and if BFC get 1% of the market then the returns will be huge. Almost zero cost (as it is extracted from the milk they already have) and according to reports it delivers a revenue of $1500/kg. Not too many products like that.
