Institutional investors haven’t seen any capital appreciation in their investment this year - how would they be happy with executive bonuses? This notion of ‘long term growth’ is all good and well but if it doesn’t translate to equally sizeable returns for investors then asking them to approve such bonuses is just arrogant.
