AGL's current dilemma in my opinion is similar to blockbuster videos in the 1990s. I'm sure the shareholders in that business thought at the time that streaming movies over the internet sounded like a pipedream.Would any sort of company restructuring have prevented blockbuster's collapse?
AGL's problem is a major disruption to the core of the industry's future viability, one that is increasing supported by other industries and government. How can that problem be solved by spinning off its retail arm?
