In light of the new Remus Offer, The Chair had no option but to postpone the GM.
I thought he would just make a decision as CHair, to postpone to another day.
But he put a fresh resolution to the meeting.
I am pretty sure that the Chair can do that at a meeting (probably depends on each company's particular Constitution?)
In any event, Alan Gray wrote to FAR and requested the meeting to be postponed, and even submitted a resolution to that effect, and asked for it to be put to the meeting, which they did.
Allan Gray has over 5%, so can take all sorts of action of their own volition.
I am still perplexed just how that voting worked at the meeting, when there were s/h physically present, and s/h virtually present.
Some s/h virtually present I think were able to vote, yet others (like me) just registered to listen.
"Virtual" S/h would simply not have time nor ability to listen to new resolution, consider it, then work out how to vote "virtually". Why would we need to do that, when we already had the WPL resolution, and did not expect a fresh resolution to be presented on the day, and have maybe 5 minutes to react??
I am not complaining, because I think the postponement is a good thing, because we can always re-consider our voting wrt the WPL proposal - that WPL proposal is still on the table, so no further downside if meeting postponed. (IMHO)
So 2,140m votes FOR postponement.

We know Allan Gray voted its 1,209m, because it requested the new resolution.
So that leaves about 931m other votes in favour of postponement.
I think Meridian still has most of its 1,917m shares, so clearly they simply did not vote on that new resolution.
SO maybe Farjoy voted - that would account for majority of rest of Yes vote.
I guess my point is, of the 10 Billion shares on issue, only 2,140m shares voted on this new resolution, and Allan Grays shares accounted for 1,209m of that.
So as far as putting the postponement to all of FAR's shareholders is concerned, the majority of shareholders did not get much of an input !!??
(but I still think it is a reasonable temporary outcome)
