I was just stating my opinion (with explanations) on why the whole "shorters" are evil, "shorters" are manipulating the stock bull$hit that you constantly see here.
Without shorters controlling more than 50% of the daily volume, then it's just order flow.
They shorted just to express their trade idea the same way you or anyone else here "buys" to express their trade idea on a stock.
There's no manipulation, it's just the resulting order flow from what the market thinks about a stock.
CXO went down because there were simply more sellers than there were buyers.
The same reason for when it inevitably goes back up.
There will simply be more buyers than sellers.
