Funnily enough as soon as I arrived at the Novotel to go up to the lift, Maurice and Richard Beresford were standing in there and heading up themselves so I was able to introduce myself and thank them very very much for the hard work they had put in to the company thus far. I also said 'you've changed the financial outlook of my entire life over the past 4 months to which Maurice smiled and said 'well the drinks are on you aren't they'.
There were roughly 30-40 of us at the presentation, not sure if anybody from HC attended but this is what ELSE I took from it without regurgitating the Perth presentation:
- Each time Maurice was questioned regarding FL and only the one month extension of the lease, I got an inkling that FL will indeed be a go ahead in the future for LNG.. of course only my opinion and all conjecture given that I was basically trying to read his body language etc, however each time it was raised he continued to stress that we will 100% have a decision on FL this month..
- I raised the question about last Friday's massive volume/closing auction bonanza and he didn't have an explanation for it apart from the index funds getting there required amount etc, however I am not completely sold on that answer that he gave.. He did however mention something along the lines of finding out tomorrow about increased holdings of those already on the LNG register (sorry about the vagueness I have a rather bad memory and I wasn't jotting every single thing down)
- All the institutions involved including Baupost, Valinor etc are keen to take a LONG TERM VIEW on LNG as an investment, and Baupost actually contact him every Friday at an unreasonable hour usually, to see how LNG is going on.
- Valinor missed the boat on the Cheniere run and that is part of the reason they invested heavily into LNG

Thanks for sharing Smokey.
I'm not able to attend any of the presentations, so I appreciate your first hand insight, and that from others here. It gives me great confidence there are some new chapters currently being drafted in the LNG story.
And admire your constraint, I probably would have come at MB with high fives and backslaps, given my own vastly improved financial position
