The nice thing is that all 5 companies I mentioned above don't just need some Hf, but can also make use of most REEs and at least some zirconium and niobium.
As for Hafnium, I once started a thread that tried to keep current on all the new applications looming for Hf. I gave up after a while but it was a LONG list. If the 5 companies I mentioned are clever, they will make a deal whereby each of them gets up to 40 tons hafnium / year for the next 50 years within an inflation-adapted, market driven price range (say at least 400 but no more than 800 in 2015 US$).
