If that's their play, and I have no idea if it is or it isn't, then it's a stupid one. Management are paid quite handsomely to be pro-active. To sit around saying "well we didn't get anything" may seem like a sound strategy but unless your 100% sure the situation will play out in your favour it's pure folly....
