I guess to answer my own question they would have to start with mouse model anyway before any other type of trial could be approved, so its just a case of how complete and how quickly the results are produced.
I hope the collaborators about to test cpps with their own drug cargoes are not only universities or think tanks. Again any result would be better than nothing but I am really hoping it is an actual potential commercial partner that is about to test. If not then yet another source of income kicked down the road.
