I was thinking about the upcoming Henry report and how they are mentioning changes to how vehicles are taxed now i.e. fuel excise and rego, and how they propose to charge a different way estimated on usage, i.e a conjestion tax on vehicles, this would require an RFID for sure in my opinion, and one that was tamper proof to boot.
This conjestion tax is where they encourage people to use their vehicles out of peak periods by charging them less, which in turn produces far less pollution and costs due to vehicles sitting on a conjested freeway, it also means less cost associated with the construction of these freeways if they can get a better traffic management system, lets hope MIKOH have been sharpening their pencil, I do believe they have been in talks with various state governments going by past releases by Mikoh.
