My background was electronic engineering before I changed direction.
I thought the reader, the back end of LumiMEMS was the bit that could retrofit existing sensor technology to open up new sensitive array options.
As it stand, I think the LumiMEMS sensor, not the reader, has only been developed to detect substances.
Maybe, if someone like Gino could confirm, LumiMEMS might be adapted to detect some environmental conditions, but that is a long way off.
it's a new cutting edge technology, we need to learn to walk before we run, and get those existing benzene/toluene and hygrogen markets cracked first.
