I think you don't understand the business model quite right, they make short videos at a fraction of the cost of bloated media studios and upload them to where the "eyeballs are currently at" as well as use the videos to make thier app better. businesses are clamoring for video content they can share on their social media and so on. big is letting them do that. I don't think any of the major media companies are doing what big is doing down to the grass roots small biz level that big is prepared to enter and do the hard yards and make the big bucks. if anything apple, google, youtube are reliant on quality media makers like big to make their platforms the best.
