@WeronaEK, IMO, it depends less on the type of commodity and more on the size and quality of the deposit. A Tier 1 deposit of any commodity will always have a future.
Eventually, REEs will boom again (all commodities boom and bust) and the price will rise substantially. Then, in response to the price increase, supply will flood the market. But true Tier 1 deposits can remain economic through all parts of the cycle.
