J, I thought that you would know the facts on this subject by now.
Ice cars do not simply combust, they do not give off incredibly toxic fumes and temperatures, they are easy to put out as evidenced by the fact that they don't sink ships when being transported, they don't suddenly reignite even a month after the fire is supposedly extinguished, they are not being banned from underground car parks as many EV's are around the world, the number of Ice cars is many multiples that of EV's so of course they have more fires, but don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
I could go on but people choose to believe what they are told by certain interests because they want to make money from lithium.
Lithium is very polluting over the full life of the car.
As I have said all along, the grids in most countries cannot provide the power to charge the batteries in a orderly manner.
It is just not possible to put enough power through the wires to charge the number of EV's that probably would need to be charged at any one time. That is a fact, check it out with your provider, I have and I found that that is simple physics.
They can force as many people as they like into EV's but ultimately it will come back to bite them on the bum.
Then the powers that be will simply work to ban private cars to save da planet, so ask yourself how you will feel about that.
