Todays ABC story onthe production of diesel from tyres (Biodieselmade from used tyres could be the solution to Australia's fuel securityproblems) yet again demonstrates the ineptitude of IGE’s ability to let the planet know the good story which IGE is doing with waste plastics. The ABC has being doing a series of programs on “The War on Waste”, how many times has IGE’s technology been mentioned? _ NIL! How many times has the story been published? – NIL! How long has IGE been working on this technology ? 5 Years! Yet, a QLD oil refinery releases a press release and its front page technology news! The IGE Director of Marketing, Hazlinda Nuron should be shown the front door.
Not only has this oilcompany managed a huge article on their technology and trials, announcing 2liters of fuel for every recycled tyre, but they also managed to get the storyto include the local MP to promote their technology politically. As a shareholder in IGE, I find IGE's inept marketing incredible, with a wonder as to why they are keeping this story such a secret? Is there some background information that is purposely being withheld? I wonder. Its nearly impossible to understand why this great news that IGE purportedly has patented has not been broadcast to the Australian marketplace and is being kept secretive.
Whilst talkingpatents, it will be interesting to see if IGE’s “Global Legal Counsel” – Anne Netto, will be reviewing IGE’S patents with a view to be contacting this oil refinery toclearly point out IGE’s IP assets with this technology. The information previously published by IGE regarding IGE patents covers the recycling of a range of waste products, including tyres, so Anne, now is the time to let out the secret and enforce IGE’s position.
One would also thinkthat as Australia has only 18 days storage of diesel supply and internationalobligations require 90 days, that IGE management would be engaging with theAustralian government, seeking support to fully develop the business inAustralia. Why is IGE management maintaining this secretive attitude? Is this part of some stockmarket play?
Australia's fuel security
The Government's Australian PetroleumStatistics publication, issued in November 2018 said Australia's stockholdingswould amount to 18 days of diesel supply in the event of market failure.
The Government is currently in theprocess of developing a strategy to meet its International Energy Agency (IEA)obligations to maintain 90 days' worth of net petroleum stockholdings.
