    Here's something interesting I noticed:

    In addition, Australian resident investors who are not Eligible Shareholders are also able to apply for Shortfall Shares (defined below) provided those investors are "sophisticated" or "professional" investors as defined by sections 708(8) and 708(11) of the Australian Corporations Act.

    So it looks like some real "big boys" are entitled to make applications for NTL. Brokerages, rich people, institutions and all. Could be interesting, does Amer have an Australian subsidiary, or is the door now open to other big boys to take a chunk?
