Maybe so, I too am quite bullish on NTL. Management shouldn't be concerned with SP, and in fact I don't think they care about SP - what they should be worried about is accelerating growth and shareholder equity, and to do so by obtaining capital for it; I am doubtful about the approach they are employing to maximise uptake of SPP to obtain the required capital for that growth which at the time seems like is not panning out in our favour...
