My understanding of the Siciny #2 situation is this. The JV fully fracked two one metre intervals some 140 metres apart in the 200 metres of carboniferous reservoir that Netherland Sewell and Associates previously identified as the most prospective in the well. The two fracks may have connected with each other. One or other of the fracks appear to have connected to a water source which has inhibited the anticipated flow of gas. Given the flowback lumped the two fracks together it is not clear whether one or both of the fracs experienced the water incursion. The source of the water is unknown. I understand that in the pre frack work by Gemini and Ansila there was no suggestion that there could be a water issue.
The operator is now evaluating the situation with a series of tests but don't expect any quick answers, certainly not before the Ansila quarterly is due.
