Even if we accept their projections and give them credit for achieving all the merger synergies my first glance review of the proposal suggests a PE of 25x to support the $8.8B market cap.
I like CW, I am a customer & consider it to be a well run business in a relatively stable & reliable sector. When I heard of the proposed deal I was keen to get a chunk but I will not pay 25x for a mature retail stock especially when there is quite a chunk of blue sky in the 25x.
