Is that simply the ironic statement that SH share on many stocks - that positive news seems to bring the reverse effect? Or have I missed key detail in the announcement?"
Precious metal miners in general are on the nose - only have to look at where gold and silver prices are now and how the SP of miners today is way off historic prices for attaining similar levels of the underlying metal. For SVL in particular, because of the likely overhang share issuance from the CR, we are faced probably with a bit more selling resistance due to profit taking for a time so good news announcements are usually a trigger to sell into the good news.
