Neil Carter is a very capable and sherewd businessman given his track record of afterpay success. And he is instrumental of putting spacelink together while Ben is overseeing it. The chain of events is bit like of financing a mining project. You have a market for mined minerals, here is end users of spacelink. then you have satellite which is ore reserve in mining proj. Then you need diggers/miners, here are David’s team to do feasibility study and design etc. Singing of customers in next few months will be crucial as this is like a offtake for mined minerals to minimise risk. With IRR of 35%, at 700 mil capital outlay if similar deal like OBH for Sat build, seems a low risk for EOS shareholders. Question will be what those 3 customers’ revenues of next a few months will be at 100, 200 or 300 mil? EOS’s bandwidths costs 7mil so far. Plus paying David’s team as going cost(20mil/yr ?). The risk would be around 40-50 mil for Eos if proj fails after 2 years.
