As someone mentioned earlier there is a very real possibility here that the Alpha prospect could be drilled from the Icewine pad via extended reach directional drilling, making this a target that could be exploited year round and putting weight to the theory that it could even be tapped from the Icewine 2 well if management choose to deviate from the existing plan somewhat. Looking at the 3D view of the Alpha prospect against map overlays it appears that the primary target in the zone would be only 2-3km from Icewine making it an easy to reach target.
IMO Icewine 2 will be modified to test this zone, why else would 88E be engaging an expert in extended reach drilling?
Others on the slope have drilled up to 7500m via ERD therefore 2000-3000 is completely plausible
