If you follow MLX announcements closely - they often mark stuff as non price sensitive and release at wild hours. They’ve marked this price sensitive and released pre market which I think requires attention.
Im not over the operation (maybe @Bilge can help out) but most of the material they’re mining now is near on 1km UG and uses the shaft to get it to surface. If they did define an orebody just ~150m below surface - you could quite easily truck that material up and thus the bottleneck at the shaft becomes alleviated. Will be interesting to see the deeper assays to see if the grades align with that discovery hole - could very well derisk the entire operation.
