Day Trader will jump on things once it starts moving and put meat on the momentum, they don't necessarily 'initiate' the move based on the FA, that would be more an STT play style perhaps, but even then generally speaking would be looking for the 'investors' to kick start a move in order to confirm the move - VECs chart and price action is an abomination save for the fact we are at the bottom of a LT trading channel, which should be enough for the STTers in my opinion, but the lack of demand on a big announcement like this is the issue - where are the investors?? All crying about finance lol.
All IMO, will be interesting to see what the boys can negotiate in the coming days/weeks/months.
Of most interest to me;
1. People cried the deal would fall over, it didn't
2. People cried it would never get funded, it did (and previous discussions have not 'fallen over' so far as I am aware? Happy to be proven wrong if that is started somewhere)
3. People shut down the bulls for calling resource upgrade for the last 6-9 months, and here we have it, up to 25moz, more bullish then even the bulls dared to dream
4. People cried that JB didn't have the knack to get us across the line, well he was always the business man and has done his part, now we have appointed fresh (experienced) blood, and still have Simon and Andrew who are good tier - so the team behind this is competent.
I don't say these things as a "told you so", I say it because as this story unfolds, one by one the boxes are being ticked and this is getting legs.... how many big ticket things do we really have to tick before we are staring down the barrel of a DFS? What is the probability we are stuck with this current financing? I'm not sure that RvR justified the share price, but I fully understand people who want to sell and have had enough.
A question for everyone to ponder regardless of where you stand right now - if Vector sorts financing (or let's say already sorted it well) and gets a better deal... where will the share price be in 9 months when we are faced with DFS?
It would be naive, in my summation, to believe this stock will just stagnate at this level until a positive DFS decision to mine and then just re-rate 20 bags in a single day. But, maybe the DFS doesn't meet our expectations, either way it should be trading a LOT higher than where it is now as we move closer to that date. Who knows where gold will be in 9 months, or where the gold reserves will be (APKJM probably knows that to the ounce), but with a lot of optimism around the DEPOSIT (forget the noise), it surely looks like a nice play to me.
Trying to be as rational as I can in this post, i'm not just putting blinkers on about the financing, I understand it is sheet! I'm just talking about bigger picture and think people should take a breather and consider the potential outcomes here. Doing my best not to be the rampant bull in these threads I once was lol
