I'm an African (from Kenya). In SA they follow holes down to 4 kms. (4,000 meters) they just follow the seam down. 4 mts is good enough. Only real limit is the massive airconditioning costs at depth. It Cuts out all the overburden you open-pit aussies are obsessed with.
But Guys let the miners who mine it after we sell it worry about that stuff. They know that game. We take our cash -bank some and pile the rest into and go into the next 1 cent wonder (10-bagger) Mine the paper dudes....
