You are unlikely to find any sulphide projects over 1% and also unlikely to find many laterite deposits over 1% either. Look at EUC yesterday for a company that was trumpeting high grades from field testing but when it came to the drill bit fell well well short.
As for the depth, the two announcements you have chose to quote (intentionally or otherwise) have been the ones targeting a possible feeder zone at depth. The deposit starts from surface along a confirmed 11km of strike to date. There is a fair dip but from drill testing deposit is one continuous zone of 4-5m wide from surface to now 300m+ deep.
