No worries. I should add that gas shows would be associated with: 1. gas being liberated from the rock as it's drilled through 2. for oil - gas coming out of the oil as pressure is decreased 3. both of these
I don't believe that you can take too much more from it other than to indicate that oil or gas is present in the rock when it's drilled into.
Shows won't tell you whether it's permeable or not that then governs flow rates that will determine whether it can be commercially extracted or not. But it is a good early sign before logs etc become available
