These surface samples that are mixed within thick sand cover ,are quite high in exploration gold anomalism terms ,in the USA they process sand for gold in a wet trommel type plant at grades of around .2 to .5 of a gram ,or historically with a dredge ,and that gold had traveled there by glacial movement.
Interestingly with this gold ,is that it would have not flowed there by river stream or glacier movements ,the gold would have originated from within the area below the thick sand cover with any outcrops being weathered then mixed in with the thick sand cover that was blown there.
It is not like this gold being discovered was deposited there by traveling ,it is gold that weathered from the below source only to be mixed with thick sand over the millions of years ,hence the source of the gold should be below the surface somewhere ,and mainly still intact.
Gold being discovered under this circumstance in thick sand cover ,is significant ,as it is a great indicator of a underlying gold system ,that is why the company words these announcements as significant.
