Totally agree, williams11. There's an arms race of hyperbole that is so accepted these days that less exuberant language is seen as being negative, overly cautious or, worse, fear-mongering. This is not just an argument about semantics. The more we hype and expect hype in whatever the field, the more expectation we build up, the better the results need to be to justify the hype, and the more severe the falls when that hype is not realised.

Whether it's people saying "absolutely" when "yes" would do, or the promise of something "extraordinary" (another word that is overused and has lost its meaning), we're just setting ourselves up for failure. Unfortunately, the market now expects it, and punishes accordingly. I just hope AZY's results one day can deliver on the promise they've set up. In the meantime, they're far from "market sensitive" and unlikely to push the share price up.
