Amigos, Figure 1 (a part of which is copied below) is very interesting, IMO. I could be wrong, but GRL didn't seem to know much about the basalt/sediment contact until they got the phase 1 drill results. From their previous announcement, I thought that the upper contact (between the basalt and the oxidised cover) may be the limit of the gold mineralisation. But now they have found with the first drill of phase 2 that their best grade was lower in fresh basalt. Maybe it is showing that the gold mineralisation came up as a rich shute from a much deeper body and it cut throught the basalt at a steep dip. Until the phase 2 program has been completed, we can specculate about the extent of mineralsiation in the fresh basalt or below - it is new territory.
