I have been holder here for a while but have been accumulating a large holding here for the last few weeks. I was an early investor in CNB and I am still a T20 holder there. I'd be in the T20 shareholders in CPM now also, holding 600k shares. My reason to significantly increase my holding is that I view CPM as I did CNB at 5-12c, only less risk.
Some of my reasons for accumulating are:
- Large director holdings
- Good size T20 (tightly held)
- Low SOI
- Low MC and at the bottom of the SP cycle
- Low sovereign risk
- Good mid - long term macro economic outlook for the minerals (copper and gold)
- Nearology to known deposits and historic mine workings
- Limited downside with a 13 mill MC, large potential upside (great risk/reward)
The recent world events having a downward affect on the markets has provided an opportunity to buy while the sales are on. Cooper Metals has some great land with high potential. This has been shown in their previous groundwork and again today with this announcement. There is copper and gold all over the area, the only question is will is be profitable. CNB are showing with their many high grade hits that it most likely is. CPM are in a position to be highly leveraged from this MC if they find anything decent, which I believe is very likely. CNB's MRE and continued drilling campaigns could bring a lot of attention to the whole area this year and into the near future.
My only hesitation in loading up now is a potential capital raising, but I think that will be done at a higher price than todays SP. Looking forward to what CPM can achieve at their Mt Isa East Cu-Au Project.
