Dropping the rig in by helicopter would fast track permissions to drill. No hectares to clear, no roads to cut, less ecology to disturb. A few Australian explorers could learn this.
Obviously a mine would totally clear the area, but that's a problem for later, if it's warranted. There would also be a economic compromise for society involved that exploration doesn't really have.
More heli drops, IMO.
