A lot of ppl here are new to the James Bay region. So heres some of what I've learnt from PMET, Criticals Rose Deposit and Nemaskas Wabouchi. To a lesser extent Frontiers Ontario deposit with no roads.
Ice and Snow can slow drilling but have little impact on targetting. Pmet drilled over the ice in last winters program. There are lots of shallow lakes surround or in the middle of these deposits. It doesnt matter, the Geo Jody Dahrouge (who vended Pmet) outlines this in numerous twitter posts. Lots of recent mines have drained large but shallow lakes.
Also not an issue to drain snall lakes for mining is covered in Quebecs code. But is very helpful in providing lots of fresh water for drilling and mining activities. BUT the areas water flow provides issues for tailings. Still researching but some concern and likely means dry stack route.
In terms of roads, this is problem and would require approval for clearing, in the mean time helicopters are ideal method and readily used. Rig availability is more of an issue than helicopters, but helis do add cost to drill.
The northern region would connect to roads and HYDRO power via La Grande 4 power station and attached highway. Pmet is a year ahead at least but id say a dog leg off their line would be possible. That power cost would help keep opex low.
La Grande also has an airport maybe 100km from Adina.
Quebec government are all thr way in on lithium and the downstream supply chain. They see themselves as thr Ford GM supply chainbas part of the IRA.
Its one of the top jurisdictions and doesnt have the wage pressures blowing out in W.A. As a jurisdiction its only just behind W.A imo.
