While we wait for the 11,000metres of assays at the labs from the most recent drilling program at Innouendy's Clay Hosted REE deposit.

I do like this comment from Desert Metals' Annual Report on Page 5. As this is confirmed with the release of these assays, and gives confidence to Dr Rob Stuart and Dr John Mair to release a Starter REE Resource, then we are heading for exciting times as DM1 shareholders.

    Innouendy Project

"Thick clays that overlie both these mafic rocks and granitic intrusions are host to REEs in significant
concentrations and over a large area
    ."

Below is an excellent video explaining the advantages of Clay Hosted Rare Earth deposits compared to Carbonatites Rare Earth deposits.

    1. Mother Nature has weathered and processed the original protolith intrusion(s) of the Clay Hosted Rare Earths at Innouendy.

    2. HIgher proportion of the REE Resource is made up of the very expensive Critical Rare Earth and Heavy Rare Earth Oxides than in Carbonatite deposits. (See table below of prices of these)

    DM1-Rare-Earth-prices-in-Euro-and-AUD-Innouendy-High-Grade.png

    3. Much lower Capex and Opex Costs than Carbonatite REE deposits, due to these Clay Hosted REE deposits running from surface down 70metres-80metres over ~20km of strike length x 5km wide. And not 200metres-400metre deep from surface as per REE Carbonatite deposits, going down another 200metres.

    4. Mother Nature doing the heavy lifting (as per the video below) weathering of Innouendy's REE Clays, over 2+Billion Years, plus the fact that Innouendy's Rare Earths are sitting amongst Mafic and Ultramafic (High MgO Rocks), acidic rocks.

The result of this is that the REEs in the Clays at Innouendy are closer to Ph Neutral compared to even other Clay Hosted REE deposits around the world that sit amongst alkaline felsic rocks, and especially compared to Carbonatite REE Deposits, which sit in highly alkaline felsic intrusive rocks.

The more alkaline the REE deposit, whether it is in carbonatite protolith or Clay Hosted felsic intrusive rocks, the stronger the acids you need to extract them. Most likely also requiring autoclaves as well, the significant higher CAPEX and OPEX costs.

That is the incredible unique feature of DM1's Innouendy Clay Hosted REE deposit, it is the Mafic and Ultra Mafic rock, that gives it its near neutral Clay Ph levels.

Unlike any other REE deposit discovered to date.

This is why with simple (weak acid and salt water) called Aqua Regia, they were able to extract 70-90% of the REEs, which were already high grade.

    1. Grade and 2. Recoveries (%s) are the most important component of REE deposits, a close 3rd being Tonnage, we will know relatively soon with these pending 11,000+ metres of drilling assays to be released over 20km x 5km strike length and width....

If Dr John Mair and Dr Rob Stuart are confident enough from these assay results to also announce a Starter Resource or Resource Estimate/Maiden JORC Inferred Resource together, with these 11,000metres of assays, then we should expect to see significant institutional investment in DM1, which will lift the company's market cap and share price to new all time highs.

Exciting times for DM1 shareholders. GLTAH.

And if Dr Rob Stuart and Tony Worth hit economic to high grade Nickel Copper PGE sulphides at Dingo Pass, then we will truly have an exciting times ahead.....
